About the Live Wall

The Stewarton Bowling Club Live Wall allows attendees at selected Club events to upload photographs directly from their mobile device using the event QR code.

Uploaded photographs may be displayed on screens at the event in real time and may also be retained by the Club for future use.

By uploading a photograph to the Live Wall, you agree to these Terms.

Photography Notice

By attending a Stewarton Bowling Club event, you acknowledge that photography may take place throughout the event.

Photographs submitted to the Live Wall by other members may be displayed on screens during the event and may subsequently be used by Stewarton Bowling Club for publicity, promotional and historical purposes, including:

• The Club website
• The Members’ Lounge
• Social media channels
• Newsletters and email communications
• Event programmes and posters
• Press releases and local media coverage
• Club archives and historical records

The Club will exercise reasonable care when selecting photographs for future publication and will review images before they are used outside the Live Wall.

Anyone who has concerns about being photographed or appearing in promotional material should speak to a member of the Club Committee or contact the Club using the details provided below.

Who Can Upload

The Live Wall is intended for use by attendees of the event.

You should only upload photographs that:

• You have personally taken at the event.
• Accurately reflect the event and its activities.
• Comply with these Terms and the Club’s standards of behaviour.

How Your Photos May Be Used

You continue to own your photographs.

By uploading a photograph, you give Stewarton Bowling Club permission to:

• Display it on the Live Wall during the event.
• Store it securely in the Club’s photo archive.
• Use it in future Club communications and publicity materials.
• Publish it on the Club website, Members’ Lounge and social media channels.
• Include it in newsletters, event programmes, posters, presentations and other promotional materials.
• Use it as part of the Club’s historical records and archives.

This permission is granted without payment or compensation.

The Club may crop, resize or make minor adjustments to photographs where necessary for display, publication or design purposes.

Suitable Content

The Live Wall is intended to showcase genuine photographs taken during the event.

Please upload photographs that reflect:

• Club activities and competitions.
• Social events and celebrations.
• Members, guests and visitors enjoying the event.
• The friendly and welcoming atmosphere of the Club.

The following content must not be uploaded:

• Photographs not taken at the event.
• Artificially generated or manipulated images intended to misrepresent events.
• Offensive, abusive, discriminatory or inappropriate content.
• Sexual or suggestive imagery.
• Images that could bring the Club into disrepute.
• Commercial advertising or promotional material unrelated to the Club.

Privacy and Respect

Please be considerate when taking and uploading photographs.

Do not upload photographs taken in places where people would reasonably expect privacy, including:

• Toilets
• Changing rooms
• Any restricted or private area

Please follow any safeguarding guidance issued by the Club, particularly in relation to children and vulnerable adults.

Moderation

Photographs uploaded to the Live Wall may appear on event screens automatically or with minimal delay.

The Club reserves the right to review, remove or refuse any photograph that it considers:

• Inappropriate
• Offensive
• Irrelevant to the event
• Inconsistent with these Terms
• Potentially damaging to the reputation of the Club or its members

Any photographs selected for future promotional use will be reviewed by the Club before publication.

As part of this process, the Club may verify that a photograph is a genuine image taken at the event and is suitable for wider publication.

Storage and Retention

Photographs uploaded through the Live Wall may be retained by Stewarton Bowling Club for:

• Historical records
• Club archives
• Future publicity and promotional purposes
• Website and social media content
• Celebratory and commemorative publications

Photographs may be retained for as long as the Club considers appropriate for these purposes.

Data Protection

Photographs may contain personal data, including identifiable images of individuals.

Stewarton Bowling Club processes personal information in accordance with its Privacy Policy, available at: go.sbc.scot/privacy

By uploading photographs, you acknowledge that images may be displayed publicly during the event and may later be used in Club publications and communications.

Removal Requests

If you would like the Club to stop using a photograph for future promotional purposes, please contact us at the email address below.

While we will consider all reasonable requests, photographs that have already been published, printed or distributed may not be capable of being withdrawn retrospectively.

Availability of the Service

The Live Wall is provided as a complimentary feature for selected Club events only. 

Stewarton Bowling Club may modify, suspend or withdraw the Live Wall feature at any time without notice.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time.

Any revised version will be published on the Website and will take effect from the date of publication.

Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of Scotland.

Any disputes relating to these Terms shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the Scottish courts.
