Stewarton Bowling Club enjoyed a successful afternoon on the green yesterday, Saturday 15 August, securing a 93–82 victory against Dreghorn in this year’s annual fixture. The match was played in excellent spirit, with players and supporters alike commenting on the friendly atmosphere, renewed connections, and lively conversation throughout the day.

Stewarton members once again demonstrated their generosity, donating raffle prizes that helped enhance the occasion. On the green, the highest up rink for Stewarton featured Jimmy Fleming, Andrew Jeffrey, Ally Muir, and Hugh Sharp, whose strong performance contributed significantly to the overall result.

The day also included a special moment as the club congratulated Clive Jelly on celebrating his 80th birthday, marking an important milestone among friends and fellow members.

The fixture concluded with Dreghorn President John Goldie presenting the annual trophy to Stewarton President Davy Hutchison (pictured), recognising another memorable meeting between the two clubs.
