Stewarton Bowling Club has finalised its team for the upcoming Champion of Champions competition at Fenwick Bowling Club tomorrow, Saturday 12 September, following an excellent evening of club finals.
The Senior Singles Final and Singles Championship Final provided members and spectators with two closely contested matches, completing the final places in the team that will represent the club.
In the Senior Singles Final, Fred Hill secured victory over Ali Gilbert in a competitive encounter played in a fine sporting spirit. The Singles Championship Final was equally well contested, with Kevin McMullen edging out Hugh Sharp to claim the title and book his place in the team.
The results mean that Stewarton will head to Fenwick with representation across all disciplines, with the following players selected:

Many from the club turned up to watch the finals, creating an excellent atmosphere around the green and providing strong support for all four finalists. The players undoubtedly benefited from the excellent support on the night, and the club is grateful to everyone who came along to cheer them on.
Congratulations go to Fred Hill and Kevin McMullen on their title wins, while Ali Gilbert and Hugh Sharp deserve recognition for their efforts in two highly competitive finals.
