Stewarton Bowling Club welcomed Kilmaurs for the clubs’ annual fixture for the Billy Andrew Cup, held in the current glorious weather conditions.
After 17 ends of bowling, Stewarton emerged victorious with a 98–80 shot win, securing the trophy for another year.
Following the match, Kilmaurs Vice President David Jameson presented the Billy Andrew Cup to Stewarton President Davie Hutchison. Also present for the presentation was Alan Andrew, son of Billy Andrew, after whom the competition is named.
Stewarton’s highest-winning rink on the day was made up of J. Kilpatrick, A. Jeffries, A. Andrew and skip S. Ferguson, whose strong performance contributed significantly to the club’s overall success.
The annual Billy Andrew Cup fixture continues to be an important and well-supported event, bringing together members of Stewarton and Kilmaurs in a spirit of friendly competition and camaraderie.
