Stewarton Bowling Club’s week of championship finals has concluded with three competitions producing worthy winners and providing members with a good showcase of competitive bowling at the club.
Mixed Pairs Final
The first title to be decided was the Mixed Pairs Championship, where Lainie Campbell and Neil Campbell produced a strong performance to overcome Sharon Steele and Charlie Hodge and claim the title on Friday 25 October.
Both pairings demonstrated excellent teamwork, consistency and skill throughout the competition, with the Campbells emerging victorious to add the honour to their bowling achievements.
Under 55s Singles Final
Attention then turned to the Under 55s Singles Championship, which saw David Bentley defeat David Stevenson in a closely fought contest between two talented competitors.
Bentley displayed impressive consistency throughout the match and was rewarded with the title after progressing through a series of challenging rounds to reach the final.
President’s Singles Final
The week of finals was brought to a close with the President’s Singles Championship, where David Stevenson overcame Gary Leitch to secure one of the club’s most coveted titles.
As with the other finals, both players produced a high standard of bowling throughout the competition, with Stevenson ultimately lifting the trophy following an entertaining championship match.
Congratulations go to all four champions, Lainie and Neil Campbell, David Bentley and David Stevenson, on their success. The club would also like to recognise all runners-up and finalists for their sporting performances and commitment throughout the competitions.
A special thank you is extended to the members, friends and supporters who attended the finals and helped create a fantastic atmosphere as the outdoor season draws towards its conclusion.
