The Club brought its season to a close on Saturday 3 October, with a well‑attended and enjoyable closing day, marked by dry weather, good company, and a strong standard of play on the green. The competition proved tightly contested, with two teams finishing level on shots and ultimately separated by the number of ends won.
The winning team comprised Gary Leitch, Wullie Ross and David Bentley, who secured first place after the countback. Runners‑up were Wullie Higgins, Allan Andrew and Keith Douglas. Third place went to Andrew Jeffrey, Kenny Goudie and Clive Jelly, while fourth place was claimed by Robert Rosbotham, Jackie Redmond and Ally Muir.
The club expressed its appreciation to Colin McGregor of CJM Plumbing for his valued sponsorship of the event.
Members enjoyed a relaxed and friendly atmosphere, with gratitude offered to everyone who took part and contributed to the success of the closing day.
The evening concluded with karaoke entertainment courtesy of our Social Convener, Mark Howie, adding a lively finish to the celebrations. The club also recognised all who donated raffle prizes, purchased tickets, or contributed cash donations, helping to round off a memorable and much‑appreciated event.
Look out for details of our winter events calendar coming soon.
