Stewarton Bowling Club members came together for a successful charity fun day on Sunday 7 June 2026, raising more than £360 for EA Cancer Support and providing an excellent start to the club’s annual fundraising campaign.
Despite facing an unpredictable spell of weather, members embraced the occasion and helped make the event an enjoyable and worthwhile day. The club would like to congratulate everyone who took part and thank all those who supported the fundraiser.
A variety of activities took place throughout the day, with several players receiving prizes for touchers. Congratulations also go to Moira Redmond, who won the Spider competition.
Special recognition goes to Hugh Sharp, whose costume as the Wicked Witch earned him the award for Best Dressed.
The club also extends its sincere thanks to everyone who donated raffle prizes, helping to contribute to the funds raised and the overall success of the event.
With more donations still expected through the fundraising donation sheet, the total is anticipated to increase further. The charity fun day marks a positive beginning to Stewarton Bowling Club’s annual fundraising efforts, with members hoping to match or exceed last year’s impressive donation of £1,400 to EA Cancer Support.
