The annual Robert Miller Members and Guests Day proved to be another resounding success, with a strong turnout and an enjoyable day of competition for all involved. The club was particularly pleased to welcome members of the Miller family, long‑standing sponsors of the event, whose continued support is greatly appreciated.
Before the tournament began, play was paused when Stewarton member Gordon Bennett collapsed on the green. Thanks to the quick and decisive actions of four individuals—Stephen Nimbley (LWM), Keith Lynce (Dreghorn), Derek Johnston (LWM), and Kevin McMullen (Stewarton)—Gordon received immediate assistance. Their efforts were nothing short of remarkable, and the entire club extends its sincere gratitude for their prompt and courageous response. We are pleased to report that Gordon is stable and hopefully on the road to recovery.
Grateful acknowledgement is given to the tournament organisers, raffle sellers, and every player who took part in this year’s event. Their collective efforts contributed to a well‑run and enjoyable day for all. With next year marking the 20th anniversary of the Robert Miller Members and Guests tournament, the club hopes to see a full green and another memorable occasion.
The Miller family expressed their thanks to everyone for their ongoing support of this long‑standing and much‑loved event.
